Land Shark destroyed any discussion here. So it's best to abandon the place and go here Message 27568971 [for now - Global Doomsters don't want reason and information so information and reason might be banned here too]

Snow in Auckland. "Once in a lifetime" The government will no doubt claim "See, the Emissions Trading Scheme is working already - it's definitely colder".

Meanwhile, as my last post, I'll warn yet again, with 2020 foresight, of reglaciation in 2020. Check the extent of the last ice shelves. If you live within the borders it would be a good idea to buy property somewhere like the Mojave desert, Morocco or at least the south of France.

The ice sheet in England was just north of Cheddington, so London will be very chilly and will freeze over in winter for many months.

Goodbye, see you on the other side.

I don't know anyone saying renewables can phase in anytime soon. The math shows we need fossil fuel for a long time, that's pretty well accepted by credible analysts.

That's why it's important to show leadership and get the ball rolling. China and Germany are pushing hard there. The US will suffer economically if it doesnt start investing. Already we're falling behind in some tecnologies. I was in china a few months and it was eye-opening in that regard.
Unfortunately we are stuck in magical thinking, with some emotionally invested in not seeing the problem.

In my own work we're backing some alt-energy firms. Gives one a sense of the huge scaling challenges ahead.
