Again, I'm guessing but I suspect that Perry's entry has everything to do with Bachmann's success. The big money types in the Rep party clearly don't want Bachmann at the top of the ticket. I'm not certain why Romney doesn't get the support of these folk ("these folk", I'm assuming are the money backers of GWB, the friends of Rove, and so forth, who see no future for themselves with Romney, perhaps it's the big money in the south and the southwest and, perhaps, southern California--Romney seems to be more a creature of the Wall Street Republican money). But just guessing.
