David, SFAM, in the CMP segment is a solid performer but not a stellar one. The stock is ok but no bargain. Expect a local low end of November, that should be retested at least once (in December), so taking a position should be delayed a bit. Implied PE at 20, revenue growth 8% per quarter. For fundamental reasons (and because of a more balanced product palette and some new technical gems being developed) I would instead turn to IPEC (Integrated Process Equip.). Company also got PE at 20 but revenue quarterly growth is higher than at SFAM. Currently around $20. Timining suggestion is SAME as for SFAM. best wishes CROSSY

David: Apart of a year end rally followed by funds injection into the market early in January, I do not see good things for ALL the SEMI caps. Some will suffer more than other, but I thinbk you cannot underestimate the south asian problem (spreading to northern Asia as well). I would say that entry after the first week in December could get you in a nice run, but you will do well to be nimble. Entry right now, I believe will leave you with a "long term" investment, in that I have a feeling that by the middle of next week all the prices we see today would be prices we would say "I wish I sold at". Sorry to be the bearer of relatively bad news. Sometimes it is best to be in cash (Bosco, I am still in cash except for a very short raid on CYMI, and yesterday in IPMCF. Luckily, both turned out well (minimal moves but positive nevertheless.) Zeev
