Does it matter? I am beginning to wonder.

I still maintain that the critical question is far simpler than some complex formula for figuring the fair value for the S&P, or the like (perhaps because I'm a mental midget compared to some better endowed posters):

Given: the S&P is currently valued at the historical high end of 98 earnings estimates, are the odds better that:

A) earnings revisions will tend upward over the next 3 to 6 months.

or

B) earnings revisions will tend downward over the next 3 to 6 months

I know how I'm betting.
