It is starting to appear that Perry is a political genius. Seems only a pg can take the somewhat nebulous job of Tx Governor and parlay it into real power.

Perry came from far behind and beat Hutchison overwhelmingly.

It's really strange because if my memory serves me well, didn't Bush nominate or assign or what ever it's called?? Perry to take over as governor of TX when he became president? Perhaps this whole rumor was devised by the msm to foment distrust?
