I failed to make 1 observation(at least 1) on the chart showing the SOX and earnings estimates. Note that the SOX is essentially at the same value now as it was on 8/29/08, ie, 356 versus 353. In other words we have come "full circle" over the past nearly 3 year period. Looking at the earnings estimates at those 2 points in time, they are much different. In 08 they were 10.47 and 19.60, now they are 40.79 and 45.43.

This observation leads to wondering what types of evaluations were ongoing in the 08 era versus the evaluations of today. The tables for the 2 periods are shown below the SOX chart.
