Sure, that's where it all started. Recall that my hang of it kind of was lost around tensors and Riemann surfaces, though. The latter being real interesting, in particular how one can move between them thru slices or cuts, all by math of course.

On a different note, I always imagined the idea of comparing the Riemann surfaces and the way of communicating between them being similar to the possibility of multiple universes communicating through black holes and quasars...

We spent quite some time on differential equations, while our courses stopped just short of integral equations.

In physics i remember our quite extensive courses in thermo dynamics, quantum mechanics, electro magnetic field theory and - of course - solid state physics.

I liked quantum mechanics, was the easiest of the four :)

Electromagnetic Field Theory was only for the few to understand, though. They say, that if you truly understand the 4 Maxwell equations, you have the key to it all. The only problem being, that only a very few, and in most cases true screwballs, ever got the slightest idea of how to apply and use those and what it is all really about.
Fortunately 1/3 of the course was dedicated to Microwave theory, which was something even we normal deadly could learn...
