Didn't Bush support Perry's nomination in '98? That must be what I remember? And if so, I don't know what would have changed his mind in '10. Evidently no one else does either.

Yes, he did, but it doesn't mean there was any great love lost between the two men. Bush was already thinking about running for President, and he needed a Republican to win the lieutenant governorship so that he wouldn't hand the state to the Democrats when he resigned.

Probably so, I don't see anything to the contrary.

I just wish Rove would stay away from the media, he's a liability in my world.
