ISRAEL PLANS TO USE NEUTRON BOMB AGAINST IRAQ IF ATTACKED WITH CHEMICAL OR BIOLOGICAL WEAPONSNovember 18, 1997ÿA report from the Sunday Age newspaper in Melbourne, Australia says that reports from Britain indicate that the Israeli government plans to use a neutron bomb against an Iraqi city if Iraq deploys chemical or biological weapons against Israel. The bomb kills people in large numbers but does minimal damage to land and structures. It is most valuable, according to experts, in confrontations with tank forces since neutrons are penetrative radiation and could kill tank crews without destroying their tanks.
