I couldn't agree more gold. Right after 9/11, like most people, I started doing research on the people of Afghanistan.........paying particular attention to their tribal customs and social mores'. I got a little into the economy and natural resources, and came to the conclusion that they are smart people and the only thing missing in their world is technical advancement. (not to mention liberty and freedom, but lets take this one step at a time.) I strongly believe that the only way to bring these people into the modern world is to offer/provide cell phones and the accompanying infrastructure, and other devices such as tablets and pads, that will hook them up to the Internet. I wish someone would convince Gates and Buffet to direct some of their billions in that direction. The world just might be a better place? ;)
