Keith: Instant message feature 4.04:

You have to sign on with AOL. You do not have to be an AOL member, or join. (They conviniently give you that option, though.) You don't even have to download Communicator 4.04. It can run stand-alone, I believe. As of now, it's FREE!

Try this URL:

aol.com

It works well. The person you are trying to communicate with has to have the instant messenger software installed also, and be registered with AOL.
Good stuff if you want to keep in touch with someone throughout the day.

Paul

As for instant messengers, ICQ is by far the best.
cnet.com

Even though I have 4.04, I use ICQ and you can find it at
icq.com
