I don't know why Rand Paul's rejection of foreign entanglements should be such a surprise. He has good company: George Washington, Lindberg, Taft, etc. it was always part of the Republican Party, until the media buried the American Firsters on their way to WW2.

Rand Paul and Pat Buchanan have both been marginalized by the media, because they're so afraid of their message. If Bush gave Iraq to Iran as has been suggested, then it would have been better to have left Sadam in power. Oh, that's right. I forgot. He had nuclear weapons.

If America keeps going broke and losing one foreign adventure after another, who ever came up with nation building as a concept, America isn't going to have a choice, but to stay home.
