Just to clarify: My reference to RRSP's -- which doesn't apply in the US, of course -- concerned the fact that someone can buy into 1998 (late February?) for their 1997 RRSP account. Out of context, it didn't seem relevant to the question but I've had a few calls on this tax selling point AND from people who wanted to accumulate shares over the next few months. Sorry if I muddied the water.
