Personally, I don't like NUE, but part of why I don't like them is that they are US centric and had tough time recovering. So you may be right. If I had to pick between the two, I'd pick PKX though. ;)

PKX @ 88.25$ - bought a starter in this well known steel stock. Posco is supposed to be a low cost leader in the steel industry. It's trading at around tangible book and below stated book. The stock is cheap by most valuation metrics and Warren Buffet own it.
