Seems to me expiring puts have to put a lot of upward pressue on the market for tomorrow unless there is more really bad news overnight. I know max pain is way above the market at these 114 - 115 levels on spy...

I think it will depend on what happens in Europe overnight and whether there is a sense that the vulnerability in the banking system there is easing.

So although one may see some short covering, it seems less likely that people will want to be long over the weekend.

I remain aggressively short the indexes and a few stocks though I did take some profits in the final hour.
