listening (intermittently on BNN) to Carney, his second in command Tiff Macklem, (sounds very credible also BTW) and even our alumnus Flats is making good sense.. Very different tone/feel from the US version... Flaherty specifically mentioned our fiscal situation was superior ... on a federal level.. so at least they must be considering the not good situation at the provincial and municipal levels.. Carney.. we are obviously constrained by US decisions on rates but we are we are not married to them... He was cut off by BNN as he started a comment on personal debt level... I think I will look for a transcript later when they are done...
