<<<The football team was slipping badly and so we hired a new coach. That coach was given a four year contract. If he is unable to offer the fans something - he likely will be replaced. So far the player salaries have exploded and we are still losing games. That's NOT the fans fault.>>>

"slipping badly"??? You must be kidding. The team (a dynasty) was humiliated, totally torn apart, and was relegated to minor league status. The fans are delusional if they think they can rebuild the team by reducing salaries.

But that is just a bad analogy.

I see it this way:

25% of our people are either unemployed, quit looking for a job, or holding on with temporary part time jobs. Millions have lost their homes or about to lose them. Most have only ER access to healthcare. Millions of others are one paycheck away from getting into a similar situation. Many are bleeding. Instead of trying to stop the bleeding, there are people out there lecturing to these people about watching their diet (they are overweight), they spent too much money in the past and that is why they are broke, and when they had the chance they refinanced to add a extra bathroom to a home they couldn't afford. They now just have to suck it up and pay for their past sins.

They are telling us they are looking for a visionary that can fix everything in a couple of years (by cutting expenses).
