All the whining and complaining about Obama? If he gets enough earfuls at his town meetings perhaps it might dawn on him that he wasn't elected to appease the right.

You really think all the whining on this thread is accomplishing something? What? You think Obama reads SI every day? Give me a break.

For months now, we've heard everything that is wrong with Obama and then some. Frankly, he could walk on water and his detractors would still complain that his shoes got wet so the walk was worthless. Forget that the political environment in which we find ourselves is the worst in decades.......that everything he has accomplished had to be done walking uphill and that includes when he had a Dem majority in the House...........because as we have seen with this thread, there are as many shades of Dems as there are in a color palette and pleasing even 50% of them at any given point is nearly impossible.

The truth is Obama bashing has become a sport on this and other so called liberal threads. Its as if his detractors pee perfume and can't stand the fact that Obama doesn't. Truth is I too see his imperfections but I also recognize that he is one man and see the negativity of the context in which he working.

Furthermore, I get very clearly what the alternative is.........and it scares the bejezus out of me. So I suggest to his detractors to grow up and put aside their petty differences.......and they are petty.......and get behind the best alternative we have to what the other side is presenting.

That makes me feel somewhat better. I am sure you are aware that many of us on this thread, including yours truly, feel the same way as you do. He has disappointed us, we need to push him harder but not that hard that he tips over and has to leave the WH.

I have decided not to contribute to his campaign. my logic is that after 4 years in office, everybody knows who he is, what record he has. All he needs is money to go on the stump. He has enough money to do so. Instead, I am going to send my contributions to the Democratic Senatorial and Congress committees.
