Hal: Bell Atlantic will deploy a DSC/Westell ADSL solution. BA has officially stated that. LU and AFC are a few idea's that I have. I was willing to start guessing since you feel Bell Atlantic will use another vendor. Again... should I ignore what Bell Altantic has announced?

>>How can LU or AFC win anything if it is just DSC as you state? <<

Nynex. Bell Atlantic will deploy a DSC/Westell solution in the old Bell Atlantic 20 million line region. What solution will BA use in the Nynex region... it hasn't been announced yet. DSC/Westell was announced before the BA/Nynex merger. Could the DSC/Westell solution be expanded to the Nynex region... I would certainly think so. You stated that BA may select another vendor, and I'm the one guessing the second vendor. The games over, you provide that information on YOUR theory.

>> Can you provide me details saying they are not conducting interoperability tests in their labs? Or BA is not doing that? <<

It's your theory... you provide the detail on Bell Atlantic's interoperability testing. I provided a URL stating that the standards groups WOULDN'T support interoperability for the duration of the contract.

>> And how many homes need ATM today...but we are not talking about today, we are talking about the future. <<

I'm talking about the mid-98 deployment in the Bell Atlantic region.

>> There are multiple PCs in homes today, between spouses and children sometimes three. <<

< grin > Mass deployment with 2-3 PC's per house. I disagree.... until later.
