The only good thing about the Yankees getting to the WS is that it makes it automatic who I'm cheering for! Right now it looks like a coin toss between Yanks and Bosox to represent the AL, although Texas could surprise again this year.

Most are favouring Phillies in the NL, but I'll root for anyone to knock them out, much like the Yankees. Milwaukee looks like a serious threat this year, but Arizona has the carma and Atlanta is always lurking.

Lots of baseball to go but I'm not expecting any changes from current contenders for post season except perhaps for Cleveland or Chisox unless someone backs up Verlander from the Detroit mound.

Lots of interesting ball left in Toronto as the Jays play Rays, NY and Bosox 6 times each before season ends. Jays are playing to better last year's 86 wins and perhaps even catch Tampa Bay. With the new young guns in their lineup, I'm not discounting either possibility!

This just in baseball fans. ...

dabum is on the D-back bandwagon. The long time hard core Bosox fan has chosen the D-backs as his NL west team this year to make it to the playoffs. Yes, it's the one and only dabum, the big time Yankee hater ('cept Derek Jeter!) is on our team. Lets hope he forgives Ian Kennedy, our ace for once being a Yankee!

Congrats dabum, and watch Paul "Bunyan" Goldschmidt, our new first baseman called up from AA, hit a few monstrous home runs in these last 40 games of the season.

P.S. This just in as well... D-back manager, Kirk Gibson, just commented on dabum backing his club, "We've just got one of the best from the east, he's BIG LEAGUE!"

Depends... Brew Crew is streaky... if they are hot at playoffs time, they could win it all... but if they aren't, they are mediocre (but lucky)... I think the Phillies will be the team to beat in the NL... dunno (or care <g>) about the jr. circuit.
