Syquest at Comdex

Some observations at Comdex:

1. Syquest must have put a lot of money in advertising
- SparQ was heavily promoted on the flags coming into the convention centre
- promoted on taxis
- bags, buttons etc.

2. The SparQ cartridges will not work in a Syjet Drive. Spoke to the people directly there. Too bad. They are lowering price on Syjet carts.

3. Saw a model of the Quest drive. Not available yet probably in new year.

4. Heavy focus on Syjet. They were showing off its video and audio capabilities.

5. Went to the Iomega booth to see the new Jazz2 drive. Looked nice and compact although slightly longer than the Syjet. The drive also seemed to have problems recognizing cartridges onthe Mac System.
