This is why emerging markets will cruise through this second test. Emerging markets will only cruise through this, IMO, if they can transition from dependence on foreign markets to domestic ones. And that will require a sound financial system. They also need to deal with the pervasive corruption so that people of those countries have trust in their leadership. And finally, they will need higher wages, or lower prices for products, so they can actually afford to purchase the products they have been exporting to countries like the US and Europe. Hawk
