The manager's job in this situation is to give the fighter tactical advice that will enable him to use his skills in an effective manner. Obama has the tools to be great; he just needs a different tactical approach. He has never before encountered such irrational self destructive behavior on the part a of a political body. Its like the other fighter in the ring has suddenly gone southpaw on you when you have never fought a lefty before. Its a learning process. Some people here want to throw in the towel, but that means ceding the principles we basically stand behind to the other side. Why do that? Obama isn't just playing on this vacation. There's is lot of strategic huddling going on with his managers. This is the time to gather himself between rounds and come out fresh for the 9th thru 12th before the final bell of the November 2012 election. He's won the early rounds, faded in the middle, and now the last are up for grabs. Let's help him win!
