The story is a little strange. Out of all the places in the world to hike, these three are in Iraq (not really easy to get to) and trapsing along the border of Iran (again, quite an effort). The story always sounded suspicious.

Now if I was a Mexican citizen and happened to be "hiking" across the Sonoran desert and "accidentally" crossed into the United States, the punishment is a job, free education and Medicaid.
