Short the education stocks. APOL etc. If the student loan money dries up, so do their revenues. The abnks are too obvious and they've already been killed.

"How would one make money from large scale student defaults...? Any ideas?"

I would think any of those for profits schools that rely on tax payers to pay for loan guarantees for worthless degrees are at high risk of a major decline... They are similar to the builders who built over priced homes the governments backed with Fannie and Freddie... the prices charged for the homes went up to absorb the free money from tax payers. Same with education.

Buy stocks in major collection agencies that collect on defaulted student loans. Also short all the SH#$ trade school stocks like Strayer and Apollo etc, especially if Congress cracks down on these ridiculous loans.

Great question... short those schools that depend on student loans for tuition... or just get short the general market, I think it's all going to hell in a hurry, I think the bear market in stocks is just beginning... except gold and silver, those two markets are going to skyrocket upward into outer space and onward to the next galaxy...
