The XAU was created about 1983 on the Philly stock exchange. I knew the guy. I back created it back 5 years from there but don't know what I did with the data. We kept hand charts. Made so much we went to Bora Bora for a long time.

Back then you bought miners like, Homestake Giant Yellowknife, ASA LTD, Placer Dome etc.

Even if Gold pulls back 200-300 from here the long term trend would be up despite the screamin'.

In lieu of the XAU here's a chart of Homestake Mining. A Major player since the 1890's and in the 1979-81 time frame.
