It is another depends issue, as it should be. It is like socialism and capitalism. Countries require an intelligent mixture of both states rights and US rights and socialism and capitalism. Re states rights: when we fought Hitler, should some of the states been allowed to not participate in the draft? Same with socialism and capitalism. Every democracy uses a mixture. We need corporations, but they should not be running our military, prisons or schools. Politcal systems are complicated and messy and basically existential in nature. The right wing doesn't seem to understand this. We have to make decisions based on the realities of the day e.g. our founding fathers (whom the right wing likes to quote so much) had slaves. Should we then have slavery? So the only thing we can do is elect smart congress people to make those existential decisions, day by day, for the greater good of our society!! All we can do. <<Are you for or against state's rights? Or is it another "depends" issue?
