Yes, and unions on the Boards of Directors, and universal health care and taxes -- gosh, imagine, they pay taxes and have a vibrant economy -- with great public education. In germany they don't waste time pretending that climate change is not happening, or mindlessly debate whether evolution is established science. The US has become a social and economic backwater due to the most ignorant people in the country shouting the loudest and getting an absurd amount of attention for their stupidity.

Yes, Germany still remembers the Wiemer Republic and hyperinflation. But Germany did get a lot of benefit from the euro until recently e.g. lower currency.

Look at the metals go!! But that is what many of us expected tonight I think. Too much fear and no more currency of last resort really.
