J.R., You asked what a "shakeout" is. It's basically what we saw today.

MMs increase the spread by lowering the bid sharply. This "shakes" any nervous investors and usually scares them into selling their shares even though there may be NO REAL reason for it.

It happens a lot in OTC-BBs. I don't think the MMs should do it, but what I think really isn't the point. It's part of OTC-BBs.

That's one reason I think the best way to make money in stocks like CVIA is by doing research so you don't get scared out of profits by MMs or "naysayers" or "hypesters" or anybody else.

The "shakeout" worked! There were hardly any sells at all until they sharply dropped the Bid. In ONLY 17 minutes (from 10:04 to 10:21), they dropped the Bid from .029 all the way down to .026 !!

And this was with Buying WAY ahead of Selling. And it scared enough people into selling that by the end of the day they had 436,000 shares from people selling. I have seem this happen many times just BEFORE news. The MMs "shakeout" a few more shares that they will sell later for LOTS more!!

You can make a LOT of $$$$$ in OTC-BBs, but you MUST do the research so you don't lose out on opportunities.

That's MY OPINION!
(And what comes next?... you're right!) DO YOUR OWN DD.
:-)

Best wishes,
Brad
