That is what drives we liberals nuts. The implication that the middle is axiomatically "the voice of reason". We liberals believe we are the voice of reason-lol. Try this: Who are the people in our society most trained in reason, facts and logic? The scientists. Now how do the scientists lean? They are 51% liberals and fully 80% lean democratic. Only 6% are Republican. We have all seent that Pew poll. The scientists are not modrates or Inependents. They are mostly liberals. So where does the reason really lie? The big and correct ideas are on the left. And that is how Obama campaigned: to the left of center for sure. Reason the college kids supported him. I was there at a university and saw it.
