I was well aware of the ECRI recession call and was concerned about it. It looked like it could very well be a mild one if materialized. The fact remains that what turned things into a catastrophe was the twin black swans of the massive oil spike followed by the death blow of Lehman which turned all the bears into geniuses.

But apparently you weren't one of them Kirk. I see your portfolio lost money in 2008. Why didn't you side step the bear market if you were touting articles for ECRI?

Even worse, I noticed your portfolio lost over 10% in 2007 even though the market was UP!.

Maybe you should be following your competitor's advice, ya think?
