Shakes - Yes, what a LST it's been, for sure. <g> Agreed on Rickards. And it's ironic to me that you should point out his measured, rational style. About a year ago, a friend was wondering if they should invest in gold. They spoke to a bunch of fund managers in NYC. Most of these folks think like Buffett and the responses ranged from "I don't understand gold" to "I hate gold". Recommended gold allocation...zero. Anyway, one of them had worked at the same fund as Rickards so I told my friend to ask about that. They did...and were told that Rickards had "...gone off the deep end". It must be unsettling to members of the power elite when someone like Rickards goes on CNBC and uses a phrase like "power elite". Breaks the law of omerta. <g> tsl
