Montana's Governor, Brian Schweitzer, was just on Fox explaining how in the midst of this recession and budget shortfalls Montana has a budget surplus. He did it by penny pinching, cutting his own salary first, abandoning unneeded projects, and a whole lot of other common sense stuff that the federal government seems incapable of doing. When asked whether he was thinking about running for the senate he replied: "No, not much. I have a pretty good border collie and he doesn't like the smell of skunks."
