There is a divide amongst humans in the way they think- and it is either biolgoical, or set at a very early age. Some people are rule followers- and like authoritiarian power structures, and some people don't. Some people embrace the new- not just in terms of technology, but socially as well, and some people don't. The reason history seems replete with examples of experiences just like the ones in the present day, is because these two groups are always replaying the same Kabuki dramas. And then history moves on. And so it goes. I don't think that ever changes- unless we actually try to biologically eliminate one side or the other - and I don't think that's probably a good idea, for so many reasons- which most of you can guess (and if you can't guess, please don't post to me about it.)
