It is inconceivable that Americans would seriously consider any of the Republican aspirants given what this man continues to accomplish. I never underestimate Americans' ability to get it wrong. We have one of the more apathetic electorates in the democratic world who barely tune in just two weeks before most elections. With such short lead times, their ability to grasp and understand the basic issues is badly undermined. And it doesn't help that Obama's base is arguing among itself just 12 months before the election. That just adds to the confusion. Interestingly, the Republicans are proving much more competent American enemies than either Bin Laden or Qaddafi. No kidding. That has always been true. In the last 40 years, every major bank crisis in this country has happened after an R has been in office for two terms. Coincidence? I don't think so.
