The fact that a person doesn't pay income taxes doesn't mean that person is "dependent on the government."

It is nowhere near the case that the 51% of Americans who don't pay income taxes are all on some kind of dole. We're talking, mostly, about working people, plus retired people and children, of course. I suppose they should be paying taxes, too.

The term Moocher Class is ugly, and is also completely inaccurate, as the facts show. And only the most jaundiced view of our tax system could possibly conclude that people who don't make enough money to owe federal taxes are the moochers.
