Why not offer Bank of America to Barclays? Get a competing offer instead of just handing taxpayer loot over to J P Morgan. Another rip-off of the USA public. You'd think Americans would get sick of it after a while.

Why not just leave it for the market to sort out.? There is obviously residual value
