Russian Bear, I disagree with those who disparage Michael Murphy. Some of his picks have been disappointments, especially his low priced ones, others have been great. I owned one of his losers, which he recommended holding because the company that was to acquire them seemed like a special one ,even though he had not yet recommended the acquirer. So, instead of throwing out the enormous prospectus sent to me re the merger, I started reading it. It was so exciting I was up until after 3 am before finishing the prospectus on the LGND takeover of Glycomed. LGnd traded long enough between 5.5 & 6 & glycomed, which was worth about .53 shares of LGND & therefore it enabled you to buy LGND under 5.5 , that I provided substantial liquidity to those who were "worried" at those prices. I was lucky enough to bet big on his winners & small on his losers, which is every investors responsibility. If Murphy has 50 winners & 50 losers, that provides the player, who can accept responsibility, the opportunity to score big by chosing the right ones. His recent {March} recommendation of PCYC also led to my investigating the company at that time & getting just as excited when I read their 96 annual report, insider trading documents, their website etc. My posts on their thread have not been erased by the webmistress. Anyone can check to see that I laid out the reasons for buying it long before completing my own accumulation, which is much more substantial than any position I ever had in any of his losers. So he pointed me in the direction of many very large profits, which far outweighed my losers. It's our responsibility to pick & choose from amongst his offerings & not be sheeplike followers & holders of anything he suggests. Bernie. Don't blame Murphy, blame yourself, if you lose. Did anyone lose on his AGPH or IDPH recommendations, amongst many other winners that one could have chosen?
