Hey Justin, you got any refs/urls on what was announced on IA64 at Microprocessor Forum? I never tracked anything beyond the press accounts down. I'd posted a few months back that I'd heard through the CS grapevine that most of the fancy VLIW stuff had been scrapped for the first implementation, anyway. The word was, crank up the clock "like the DEC Alpha.". Who knows, in some ways it sounds vaguely like what happened with the 432, where the architecture got ahead of what could be reasonably implemented, but the details are under wraps.
