Oh Mq, I removed the reference to you in my post ... just to see... ;o) Not a doomster... US oil consumption declining likely ours too.. US and Canadian oil reserves increasing.. Agree.. Roaring down a freeway at 100 mph in 2 tons of steel is not even close to Nirvana. can be fun.. but very transitory..did the motorcycle thing.in my youth.. but that's just me.. glassy eyed when droning along in a car. When I am skiing just a little over my ability, trying to keep up with my kid.. I am not glassy eyed.. I AM ALIVE...... Watching and doing... well they are very different.. watching is always going to be second best.. but the best we can do in many cases.. again that's me... but then too sitting in a cell surfing here and about, reading and seeing what someone else saw for real... their impressions etc.. well that's not Nirvana either... unless it's the best you can do... and you experience facsimiles only... that can't be Nirvana.. can it ? Then again I've never ridden my keyboard :O) BTW I am loving my new Nexus Android phone.. (apparently geared to us less cerebral types ;o) shelled out for a data pack even.. People ask.. is that an iPhone.. more Android candidates LOL Google maps, GPS, SI (even posted from it a few times), brokerage accounts.. all in my pocket at my beck and call.. to help me decide the next 3D place to visit, best route, check in with family/friends...instant pics/film of 3D world experiences... sent off to appropriate people and place at an instant.. just outstanding this technology stuff.. :O) Maybe I should blog my next vacation, snorkeling at night, or sea kayaking or skiing the Rockies,, for the vicarious benefit of shut in surfers ... at any rate I am hooked.. if Google blows it I'll gladly get myself an iPhone :O) Standards of living can be increased everywhere not in the short term... but sure far more will benefit than lose.. in the short term 2.5 billions plus to 700 millions ?? and eventually all can if enough destructive (it's certainly not all bad :o) chimpoid DNA is suppressed.. although we've not yet found any way to really share the wealth... to the victor goes the spoils is still our way no ? STOP... taking a break... a beautiful T storm on just now... I'll be back... OK I'm back... no tornadoes for Toronto... phew... Nephew's girlfriend, med student, is doing a stage in northern China. She has written numerous letters to nephew telling him China is not as she pictured from second hand news.. just as I have experienced and relayed to him last spring while skiing Whistler :o).. especially if your mind is open... He is leaving Saturday to meet her for two week vacay and return trip.. I look forward.to hearing his thoughts, young but very bright and upstanding young man... good head on his shoulders.. EDIT:: ooops sorry about the hoards.. I had a new experience last night was surfing... tele had ashow on in the background called hoarders.. I was aghast... THX :O)
