HI Chip,

Tes spread rise is NOT GOOD !!

Perhaps it is BAC and Warren saved the day.Afterall they did buy the toxic of the toxic with: Coutry wide (wonder why Mozillo is not in jail perhaps cuz he did what the polticians passed into law) and Merrill Lynch (The once very conservative broker that dove into subprime lead by a shameless minority that also help break GM).

More scary to me is the Euro zone and it inability to step up to the endless Euro printing it gave to eachothers memebers and now their is no accountability?

Did they not pass their own Stress tests - wonder how stressed they took as the thresh hold?

Will Germany balk at backing their Euro brothers after benefitting from the manufacturing demand the many Euro's printed created?

When banks don't trust eachother the TED spread rises ( Libor part of the equation).

I think the USA ends up being the transparent healthy player in the contagion ward.We took our medicine and did rasie capital.

There's going to be one more chapter in this mess and it could be that BAC extended a sweet deal to Buffet - just to make sure they'd survive with comfort.

This is very similar to 2008 and that is not good.

I hope I'm fearing fear.

Bob

Some day we'll get back to respecting companies with real products and real solid financial statements.

When that happens we're gonna have one heck of a run up eh?
