DanD, at the risk of drawing fire from normally placid folk, I'll address the question you raised: Is the texas public official a bigot? No. However, a wiki check shows that Mrs Strayhorn started feuding with Gov Perry in 2002 and had no success with the electorate in opposing him. Full disclosure: I have been a Texas resident since 1998 and know that the facts you listed were cherry-picked by someone because current data of these sorts regularly appear in the press. Aged data with inconsistent aging should be held as suspect, and posting of said data will lead some to view the poster with suspicion. katytrader
