I can't agree with that. Why should banks be restrained? < The last sentence is essentially the distillation of his thinking and it is difficult to disagree with it. > The financial system should be reformed to eliminate the government and electorate and make money a free market. "Balance restored to the economy" is meaningless. "The economy" is not something to which something needs to be done. "The economy" is people deciding to do something, make something, buy something. It's self-determining. Government kleptocratic suffocatocracy can only crush it, not enhance it.

Obama likes his boot on necks, such as BP's and Tony Hayward's. That is not the way to encourage people to be economically productive.
