I've got a shallow thought for everyone. Even if Quantum says they will miss estimates by a bunch, the share price in the next few months will rise past what it is now for one simple reason. Quantum has a dozen or so new products to announce, NFR announcements, Terastor agreement announcements regarding NFR, etc, etc. These announcements, though varying greatly in significance will persuade the ignorant but rich Holiday Investor to put his money into Quantum. We'll do well unless the market tanks, and no one can predict that.

Scott:

Did QNTM participate in Comdex? If not, that could be interpreted as negative by a psychology-driven market. But at a rate of earnings of .71*4 = 2.84 per year, the value of a share couldnot be less than 28.40 even if the earnings were flat (and they are not) and the interest rate were 10%. The interest rate is way less than 10%. Thus, fear must have driven the price below $30, IMO.
