I tried doing some research on the Lacey Act, but there's too much. Originally it was passed in 1900. Wood was added in 2008, but it has been amended frequently. Wiki tells very little and there is much more than is shown there.

Good point.... They still use rosewood and ebony for the ribs and fingerboard, the majority is spruce....
