Friday, Aug 26, 2011 at 11:01 AM EDT http://www.glennbeck.com/2011/08/26/glenn-heading-to-hugo-chavezs-venezuela/ Glenn promised that he would be taking the movement he started at 8/24 global, and he announced the next stop on his world tour while broadcasting from Cape Town, South Africa. He’s heading to Venezuela, and apparently Hugo Chaves himself wanted to stop the movement in its tracks. Did he succeed? “I will tell you a story now that I haven’t had a chance to tell you, I haven’t been able to tell you but tonight I was supposed to be in Venezuela,” Glenn told listeners. “Supposed to be in Venezuela tonight to address a whole group of people from all over South America , but we found out, as we landed in Egypt the other night, which, my staff never told me we were landing in Egypt until the plane is descending.” Glenn was obviously a little confused as to why they were making a sudden stop in Egypt, the center of the Arab Spring which has consumed the Middle East and the news over the past several months. His Chief of Staff informed him that Hugo Chavez wanted a detailed itinerary for his trip. “So we go to Egypt and as we land in Egypt and the Jeeps are around our plane and I’m thinking don’t open the door because we’re not getting off this plane!” “I am informed by Joe that Hugo Chavez wanted a detailed itinerary of what I was planning on doing in Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela, and Hugo didn’t like it, and he would not allow my plane to land in Venezuela.” Well, Hugo may have tried to stop him but Glenn and his team found another way. “Hugo believes that he is going to stop people like me from speaking out and speaking their mind,” Glenn declared.
