You know it sounds far fetched but there have been earthquakes reported coming from there. Minor earthquakes have been triggered by human activities such as mining (rockbursts and cavity collapse), the filling of reservoirs behind large dams, and the injection of fluids into wells for oil recovery or waste disposal. Large dams hold back enormous quantities of water. Some of this water may penetrate into cracks in the underlying rock, and sometimes this may trigger small earthquakes under or very near the reservoir. Following an underground nuclear explosion, small earthquakes have often been recorded near the test site. These are due to the collapse of the cavity created by the explosion. Man-made earthquakes always occur close to the site of the activity. <Everyone around here has heard there is a tunnel from the denver airport to NORAD> This is absurd. Ask any Colorado native, and the response will be there is no one in Denver worth saving. The tunnel in question goes from NORAD in Cheyenne Mountain to Peterson AFB. For some reason a spur branch goes under the Supermax prison in Florence, CO. NORAD itself is well targeted, and so a new network linked to pre-existing tunnels in Cripple Creek has been established. Word has it that enough gold was uprooted to replenish Ft. Know. It all sounds far-fetched, and could just as well be the fabrications of an idiot, but do you want to be long gold when the news gets out ? wg
