Wouldn't you know it but my power went off right after you wrote this but after I decided to finally go to sleep. However, I'd have needed a tractor trailer and a crane to take down that scoreboard. And if I had the proper equipment, I'd have taken their lights instead given that a few stupid neighbors have continually sued the town to prevent a handful of night games (at the high school they chose to live near) each year. Given people sued to stop the building of the wooden beach playground a dozen years ago (saying it would attract the wrong element of five year olds from neighboring towns; the town prevailed and the playground has been a fabulous addition), and sued to halt the building of a new YMCA (saying it would clog the streets), par for the course around here.

As for the "other" storm, although a tree fell down and crushed the corner of a house down the road, we just had one small branch fall down and not even enough flooding in the basement to cover half the floor. Some of the town is still without power and the start of school has been postponed yet another day. Yes, expect a flood of lawsuits, pun intended.
