What really worries me are "Manpads" getting loose. These are the missiles that could easily take out our passenger jets. We have no defense against them. The Israelis put flares, etc, in their jets to try to stop them, and they did stop at least one attack. If they took out say, four of our jets taking off one morning from four airports, it will kill our airline passenger industry. Harm it badly but not kill it, I would guess. People really do have to fly. But the Israeli companies that make the flare defense systems would get rich in a hurry.
