People adopt strategies for survival according to what surrounds them. In a dog eat dog and human eat dog place like China, they try to avoid looking like a dog. Deception is important.

You seem to be implying I got my idea recently from watching tv. No, it was years ago from hearing lies in the streets of Beijing and from recent migrants to NZ. Also from many many many other news items from lead in toys to melamine in milk over decades.

I don't subscribe to the grey ooze theory of fungible humans and looney liberal leftie "everyone is the same" ideology. People are different from when they are born. They become more different according to what surrounds them as the grow. As adults they retain some flexibility too [some do more than others]. Even old geezers are somewhat adaptable [some of them].

Do you think my observation is wrong? Did you have a different experience in your travels in China?How did you reach your conclusion?
